The Management Team’s active role in daily supervision, site visits, construction management, and communication with tenants, contribute to successful property management operation.
Ashok Mehra serves as chief executive of Mehra Properties Inc., Mr. Mehra co-founded Professional Consortium., Ltd, a financial consulting firm, in 1979, sourcing from this entity a significant portion of private equity capital investment for real estate ventures.
For over 40 years, Mr. Mehra has served as General Partner and Manager of many successful real estate acquisitions and remains actively involved in business operations today. “Having skin in the game”, is a core belief that has always resonated in the firm, Mr. Mehra is the single greatest individual investor across the portfolio.
Sudhir Mehra supervises financial and accounting matters, a graduate in economics from the University of Delhi, in India, Sudhir Mehra joined the family business in 1985. He oversees all financial aspects of the Mehra family real estate portfolio, supervises all aspects of budget and cash flow, and is responsible for the financial reporting process for each property.
Both of Ashok’s sons, Vijay Mehra and Ryan Mehra, are active in the firm, and have received hands-on experience in every facet of the business.
Vijay is a licensed real estate broker in New York, and is responsible for overseeing the entire leasing process across the portfolio which covers several asset classes; office, retail, residential, and industrial, each of which have different leasing parameters. Successfully having negotiated leases with national tenants and mom and pop businesses, Vijay’s availability to work hand in hand with tenants and understand their business makes for a good marriage between tenants and landlord.
Ryan works closely with the brokerage community to source new deals that are both on and off-market. Unlocking the value of a property by redeveloping or repurposing an acquisition are core to our investment criteria, and even in the most competitive markets, Ryan has overseen lucrative investments for the firm and its investors over the last ten years.
